Fontaine-Fourches is the town farthest francilienne the center of Paris, 2 km from the Champagne-Ardenne and 2 km of Burgundy. Fontaine-Fourches is also known for over a century for its festival of the Rosiere in which a girl chosen by the City Council is celebrated on Palm Sunday.

The church Dated twelfth century vaulted Romanesque building of warheads is dedicated to St. Martin, also the patron saint of the town, due to the presence on its territory of the source called St. Martin abundant and benevolent waters.
Wash houses and fountain St. Martin: The four laundries on the commune of Fontaine-work the same fork, spring-fed, they are also built on the same plane. The laundry of St. Martin is however especially interesting as the nearby fountain and feeding was the subject of a cult: its clear water was said to cure fevers. Until 1920, the faithful went there on pilgrimage after the Mass.
