Commune Ile-de-France, Crosne takes place in Essonne, in the natural region of French Brie. Crossed by the Yerres, it is located at the limit of Val-de-Marne, about twenty kilometers from Paris. Close to Montgeron, Villeneuve-Saint-Georges and Valenton, it is also close to Paris Orly airport.
Populated since the Neolithic, the town of Crosne is indeed appreciated at the time for its proximity to the Yerres. Once crossed by the Roman road from Auxerre to Le Havre, it developed in the Middle Ages a wine business. The city developed over the centuries, experiencing many ravages at the time of the Fronde in the mid-seventeenth century. Ravaged once again during the War of 1870, she now lives a more peaceful life.
Important residential community of the Parisian suburbs, Crosne still has some beautiful historical and natural sites to discover the time of a stay in the region.
