Things to see and do

Classified as an historic monument, the ancient castle of Brévannes now home Emile-Roux hospital. This is a medieval building with towers, moats or watchtowers. Under Louis XIV, he even welcomed gardens designed by Le Nôtre himself. Demolished in the eighteenth century, the castle is a beautiful building in Louis XVI style. It passed through many hands before being bought by Public Assistance in the nineteenth century, becoming a hospice, sanatorium and a hospital.

The Church of St. Martin of Limeil dates from the thirteenth century. She experienced some changes in the nineteenth century, including transformations on the bell tower.

Walking through the old center, one can discover the home of the family of Sèze, who owned a chestnut park and white lilacs. If the original house was destroyed, one can see the house of associations built in its place.

Identified in the inventory of cultural heritage, the conservatory Limeil-Brévannes was built in the second half of the nineteenth century.

The city is covered almost 20% of its territory by the forest of the Barn. They are 110 hectares to discover fauna and flora through hiking trails.
