Located Castres in Occitan, the Jean-Jaurès museum honors the great politician, tracing its history and its journey. Open for the fortieth anniversary of his death in 1954, the site takes place in the walls of City Hall. The museum is full then moved in the late 1980s on the place Pelisson and was inaugurated by the then president, François Mitterrand.
The Jean Jaurès museum presents a chronological and thematic route on the teacher and philosopher that was the man. Visitors and discover his life and his work through newspapers, photographs, cartoons or personal items. Temporary exhibitions are also organized.
