Les Rousses

• On the program all summer long, a large number of activities for everyone to share with the family: easy discovery circuits, hiking and horseback riding, scooters, mountain biking, cycle tourism, VAE, 2 18-hole golf courses, Commando courses and missions Games, net park in the trees, barefoot trail, rock climbing, aquatic hiking, canyoning, swimming in the resort's two lakes, water activities (rentals), mini-golf, archery, biathlon, roller-skiing, accompanied photo outings (summer and winter)… Not to mention special children's activities: Rouxy garden (with: trampolines, inflatable structure, speed-ball, archery, etc.), children's clubs and many other activities to discover !
• In winter, Les Rousses resort changes scenery! Await you: 50 km of alpine slopes on 4 massifs of the Jura Sur Léman domain and 170 km of Nordic ski slopes spread over 6 sectors. Enjoy skiing but also snowshoeing, ski-joëring, walking or dog sledding, in magnificent landscapes adorned with fir trees and spruces where many animals are hiding, testifying to the unspoiled nature!
• In autumn, the forests become a festival of warm colours, contrasting with the colors of the Jura lakes; it is also the season of the Désalpe on the Swiss side: the herdsmen of the region celebrate this event and offer a procession of decorated herds to the inhabitants and visitors.
• In all seasons, after an activity in the heart of nature, visit the museums and craftsmen of the resort and its surroundings who will explain to you with passion the know-how and the history of the Haut-Jura. An indoor ice rink and relaxation and well-being areas (massages, relaxation, spa) will allow you to spend your energy or relax.

Les Rousses resort hosts major events all year round:

• In winter:

• La Transjeune, cross-country ski race for young people: end of January.
• La Transjurassienne, international cross-country ski race: in February.
• O'xyrace Trail Blanc Jurassien, snow running event at the end of January.
• The Varnavo, telemark race in March.

• In summer:

• La Transju'Trail, long-distance running through the Jura mountains: in June.
• Fête de l'Abonde in Lamoura every August 15: "Lamoura en fête", all day long, street performances, parades, concerts, exhibitions of artists and artisans... Abonde is known as the "most crazy party in the Haut-Jura".

• In autumn:

• La Désalpe, end of September or beginning of October. A few steps from the resort of Les Rousses, on the other side of the border, the small Swiss village of Saint-Cergue is celebrating with the Désalpe. This festival marks the end of the mountain pasture season. On this occasion, alphorns, flag throwers, folk music groups and craftsmen enliven the streets of the village as the herds pass.
• Ultra Trail des Montagnes du Jura, long-distance running, end of September-beginning of October.

• Opening weekend of the Commando Games ! - On the programme : an introductory course, orienteering missions and a commando course ! - Commando Games will be open every weekend and bank holiday from 2pm to 6pm until 30 June.

• We'll be taking advantage of the long evenings at the start of summer to pick a few flowers from the fields - in accordance with good wild gathering practices - and put together a beautiful country bouquet. The workshops will be followed by an aperitif. - Minimum 3 - maximum 8 people. - 10% discount from the 3rd workshop booked on the Spring 2024 programme.
