Located in the municipality of Mazères between Bazas and Langon, in the heart of the Gironde countryside, the Roquetaillade estate consists of two fortresses classified as Historic Monuments: an old castle from the 12th century and a newer 14th-century castle inhabited by the same family for over 700 years. Flanked by an imposing keep and round towers, the latter was sumptuously restored by Viollet-le-Duc. It has a unique interior designed by the famous architect in the 19th century!
