Le Malzieu-Ville is a 13th century medieval city, located in the heart of Gévaudan at an altitude of 860 m. With its more than 900 inhabitants, it has retained its authentic character, now restored according to the rules of buildings in France. Natural curiosities, tourist facilities and shops mingle harmoniously with its exceptional heritage and nature of the Monts de la Margeride which still earn it its name of pearl of the valley.
Without forgetting the essential story of the "Beast of Gévaudan", the one that raged on the outskirts of the city between 1764 and 1767.
