The Tops of Vigneulles

The city center is where there is the war memorial, take the direction of Saffais to stop at the cemetery, starting point of the ride.

At the departure point, look on the left, the last old vine in the village. Head to this one to discover the educational vineyard. Climb then on the path of Lemecieu which will take you on the road of Grelot. Then take the road going to the left for about 20 meters then turn right. The small path downhill will take you to the Moulin waterfall. Go back up the road to Grelot where you will see settling ponds Solvay factories. Pass over the source forming the waterfall. Turn left into the woods the steep path called Chemin de la Folie, which will lead you to the Lorraine Group memorial 42 marking the importance of the Resistance in the region during the Second World War. Then go up the path opposite mirabelliers up to the orchard at the top (do not forget to close the door to prevent the sheep to escape).

You arrive then on the Hauts de Vigneulles. Walk along the fence to the next gate and continue on the path. Along the way you will see beautiful views. Continue to arrive at the fountain of St Quentin which would, according to the legend, a healing power of the eyes.

A little further, take the road turning left, go down to the second bend, then take the small path to the right in the wood that can be slippery (for those who fear slippery trails, continue on the road and join the circuit Further down, cross the wood from which springs many springs, follow the red rings, at the junction turn right towards Vigneulles.

Enter the village, pass the mission cross, and lower, in front of the Saint-Blaise church. Go down to the war memorial, go up on the left to join the place of the old church. On the left, you will see the fountain and the wash house. Back to the cemetery.
