Perched on its rocky spur at an altitude of 475 m, the town of Langres, ranked one of the 50 most beautiful cities in France, is a proud fortress at the gates of Champagne and Burgundy. Successively Gallic oppidum, capital of the Lingon people, seat of the bishopric and royal stronghold, the perfect city over the centuries its armor.
