The village of Avermes offers a weekly market. Every Saturday morning is on the market place to find different street vendors and small local farmers who come to sell their production. The market is held from 7:30 am to noon.
During the year themed markets are organized by season. The first Saturday of summer, a farmers' market is held in the evening from 18h to midnight.
A cultural program is provided to Avermes and Gateway regular exhibitions. The city also has a cultural scene: the Isléa.
