Pont-Remy

The castle of Pont-Remy: this former 15th century fortified castle was transformed in the 19th century into a private residence. It is now reduced to a state of ruin. For the moment, the castle is visible from the road or from the edge of the Somme and several times a year, events are planned (medieval festival, Heritage Days). A park opening project is underway.

The path of the towage: the cycle route allows you to discover all the tourist, natural and cultural riches of the Somme Valley along the water.

6 km from Pont-Remy, discover the green village of Long on the banks of the Somme which also has a remarkable heritage with its 18th century castle, its hydroelectric power station and the famous fire of Saint John.

10 km from Pont-Remy, discover the old medieval town of Saint-Riquier with its Flamboyant Gothic style abbey church, the old abbey now a Departmental Cultural Center and its park, the belfry as well as the old fortifications.
