Small town of Côtes d'Armor in Brittany, Pommerit-le-Vicomte takes place about forty kilometers from the city of Saint-Brieuc, in the historic land of Treg. It is located on the shores of Trieux, near Squiffiec, Lannebert and Le Faouët.
Populated since Gallo-Roman times, as evidenced by the remains found there, the territory of Pommerit-le-Vicomte experiencing a major boom in the Middle Ages with the implementation of the Hospitaller Order of St. John of Jerusalem in the twelfth century.
