The castle of Nexon, is one of the must-see sites, because of the richness of its history and the traces left by its equestrian past. Built in the seventeenth century, it will remain the property of the family of the same name until 1983, when the municipality will acquire it. The estate (castle, stables and park) is the witness of the existence of the stud farm, created in the sixteenth century by the owners. It is also part of the Route Richard Coeur de Lion, one of the essential tourist routes of the department.
A veritable haven of greenery, the Nexon castle park is the ideal place for a stroll combining discovery and tranquility. Allowed only for pedestrians, you will be impressed by its castle at the entrance and its majestic stables. Everywhere, you will find water... Fountains, waterfalls and ponds are proudly displayed, or hide at the bend of a path to be discovered by the visitor.
