The Académie de la Val d'Isère museum in Moutiers is dedicated to history and archaeology. Born at the same time as the association in the middle of the 19th century, it has the vocation of introducing the Tarentaise to as many people as possible.
On site, collections of local heritage objects are visible, like the terracotta from Aime or the bracelets found in Pralognan. The Académie de la Val d'Isère museum evokes the history of the city from Roman times to the beginning of the 20th century, giving pride of place to archaeological collections (books, parchments, objects of worship, etc.). The site is also interested in the exploitation of saltworks, the school of mines or even the economic life of the Tarentaise.
