Listed as a Historic Monument for its dining room and listed for its facades and roofs, the Château de Cuissy in Lion-en-Sullias was erected in the 17th century. Originally a fortified house besieged in the 16th century, it was rebuilt in its present form in 1630.
Horseshoe-shaped houses with a main wing endowed with a facade in flint and mortar blocking, the Château de Cuissy reveals an 18th century east wing and a 19th century west wing. Inside, it is possible to discover the beautiful old woodwork of the dining room, a gallery of 17th century portraits, a vaulted cellar, a stone well or even a fireplace with stone jambs sculpted in the shape of a chimera, lion or human busts.
