The chapel of Quilinen / Kilinenn, its ordeal and its fountain.
This listed 15th century chapel has been completely restored (2013-2017). A guided tour will make you discover its rich history but also its remarkable architecture. You will be amazed by its very colorful frescoes dating from 1621 that were rediscovered during restoration work. You will be surprised by the fifteen statues classified as historical monuments, all of the sixteenth century and also renovated. The stained glass windows of 2017, created by Antoine le Bihan who was inspired by a descriptive text dating from 1648 stained glass windows of origin, will not leave you indifferent. Traces of a carillon wheel, a drawing of a wheel of life and death, a three-headed sculpture, magnificent sandpits, a very moving beam of glory... but also a coast of whale... are not the out of the ordinary details that are missing in this chapel.
In the enclosure you will meet the Triangular Calvary and its 48 characters harmoniously arranged throughout its eight meters high. Why these triangles? Why was it built here? What story does he tell? Come admire the boldness of the sculptor who has managed to move the body as few have known how to do it.
The chapel is open every afternoon (14h -18h) in July and August.
