Painter, illustrator, ceramist, draftsman and decorator, Mathurin Méheut was appreciated throughout his career for the great diversity of his supports and techniques. The Mathurin Méheut museum now unveils more than 5,000 works reflecting the various themes addressed by the artist, from Japan to regional trades and war.
Moved in 2022 to the site of the Lamballe national stud farm, the Mathurin Méheut museum now enjoys an exceptional setting. All along the route, visitors will be able to admire the artist's work through several themes: everyday life, elsewhere and nature. The site also hosts a temporary thematic exhibition every year, allowing visitors to discover new facets of the local child.
