At 30 kilometers from Mont Saint-Michel and the limits of Mortainais and Avranchin, Brécey is the capital of a canton of 15 municipalities on both sides of the lower valley of the See. Brécey Sée spans the river first class reputation for its fish fauna (trout and salmon) and its mills.
The valley of the See meanders along the river to the bay of Mont Saint-Michel, it offers a landscape of small fields surrounded by hedgerows.
Township Brécey is crossed by the GR 22 and GR of other countries that allow walkers and hikers to enjoy a typical rural architecture: the houses built mainly granite, sandstone and shale, s' add additional buildings such as ovens, stables, etc.. These small buildings or farm household, mostly mud and timber-framed, specific to the South Channel, are still present and visible throughout the township.
Some beautiful buildings are distinguished from the rural buildings such as Castle Accommodation, the Brisolière and Semondière, all three old mansions.
