Located rue de La Thaumassière, the Bourges School Museum was inaugurated in the early 1980s. A real educational tool, the site traces the history of the creation of the public, secular, free and compulsory school of Jules Ferry.
Visitors can find showcases and panels here showing objects from the past, notebooks and other reproductions of food. In the reconstructed classrooms of the Bourges School Museum, we dive into another era and another atmosphere. Children and adults take pleasure here in sitting on the wooden benches and writing on the slates or reading the books of yesteryear.
