Overlooking the Vègre valley, at Avessé, the castle of Martigné is a beautiful architectural ensemble that combines buildings from the 15th, 16th and 17th centuries. Composed of two parallel buildings with loopholes, loopholes and carved slopes, the castle of Martigné also has roussard corner chains that contrast with the light plaster of the walls.
The building now stands in a park with multi-hundred-year-old trees, a vegetable garden and orchards. Listed as a Historic Monument, it is inhabited and not accessible to the public.
