Located in the territory of Arette, in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques, the ski resort of La Pierre Saint-Martin takes place between 1650 and 2200 meters above sea level, in the massif of the French Pyrenees. Family resort, it extends over fifty hectares in the heart of a pine massif.
Opened in 1962, this village of chalets appreciated by winter sports enthusiasts today unveils twenty-five kilometers of alpine ski slopes, green, blue, red and black, and twenty kilometers of cross-country ski trails. Located near the Spanish border, the station La Pierre Saint-Martin offers direct access to the station of Larra-Belagua.
The site is also a Mecca for speleology with a karst of 140 km² and the Verna room open to the public since 2010. Since 1993, the village also houses a stele of the escaped France in memory of the resisters who left the country to join the liberation army during the Second World War.
