Located Annecy, Savoie, the Basilica of Saint-Joseph-des-Fins seen its construction started in 1930 under the leadership of Dom Bellot, an architect monk. Beautiful synthesis architecture concrete modern armed and the traditional architecture of religious buildings, it was consecrated in 1962 and elevated to basilica two years later.
Indoors as well as outdoors, the Basilica of Saint-Joseph-des-Fins has a great artistic and reveals the revival of religious art that developed in the 1930s, particularly through ceramics, mosaics or the predominance of wood and concrete. All works painted inside the church also show great modernity in their execution.
