La Germondière, is a peaceful complex of 2 traditional gîtes, with 2 private fishing lakes, set within 2.5 hectares of beautiful countryside in the Poitou-Charentes region of France. Self-catering accommodation in the Gâtine countryside, yet only 1.5 miles from town. Despite its peaceful, rural ambience, Secondigny has all the amenities you may require without having to stray too far. A supermarket, butcher, 2 bakers, newsagent, chemist, banks and hairdresser can all be found in Secondigny, and of course 2 or 3 bars and restaurants. Tranquility, walking, painting, wildlife, photography, fishing or simply relaxing in the 'sunniest region in Western France', our two gîtes in La Germondière are your ideal getaway. We are pet friendly (see our Terms and Conditions) and we have an excellent English speaking Vet in Secondigny who can deal with the necessary pets scheme requirements. We are generally a child-free environment, children by exception only. Both our gîtes are traditional and rustic, with exposed beams, tiled floors throughout, wood burners for those cooler periods, yet fully equipped for all your self-catering needs. Free wifi access too. We have two spring fed fishing lakes at La Germondière (1.5 acres and 3 acres), set in mature gardens of 2.5 hectares. Our lakes are stocked with carp, tench, roach, bream, pike and zander. Fishing our lakes is free when you spend your holidays at La Germondière.
