Koen & Veronique welcome you. Situated in the heart of the countryside, at a place called 'La Cluze', 3 km from the market town of Saint Sauves, away from the road, far from the noise and in an unspoilt natural setting, a group of holiday cottages have just been completed. These buildings (dating from the late 19th century) have all the charm of the past, and the restoration and renovation work has been carried out with respect for these buildings, while also providing modern-day comforts. The 80 m² south-facing Jonquille gîte has a large living room with an extra bed. There is a kitchen/dining area, a bathroom and 2 bedrooms (one with 2 single beds and the other with a double bed). The bathroom is modern and comfortable (with shower, washbasin and WC) and has a baby changing table. This gîte is classified as furnished *** - From its south-facing terrace you have a breathtaking view of the Sancy massif. On the ground floor of the barn, you will find a large reception area with tourist information and a wifi connection. There is also a common room with a lounge, a wood-burning stove, billiards, table football, air hockey, board games and a laundry room. Outside, there is a large private car park with 2 charging points (payable separately), a hectare of lawn for all ages and an enclosed garden with outdoor games and barbecue.
It's easy to get to: we're just 4 km from the A89 'La Bourboule-Mont Dore' exit, in the Auvergne Volcanoes Natural Park. You can discover the village of Saint Sauves with its local shops. La Bourboule, a spa and cross-country ski resort, is 10 minutes away, and the town of Le Mont Dore, with its ski area linked to the Super-Besse ski area by cable car, is just next door. In summer, you can cool off in the lakes, the reservoir at the Bort dam, or watch the Dordogne river flow past Saint Sauves. There are plenty of walks on signposted footpaths for all abilities.
