Les Moulins le Manoir (furnished flat 4 *) is located in the Limousin at the edge of the Creuse and the Haute-Vienne, in the South West of France, near the village of Saint-Moreil. A beautiful house with authentic French atmosphere in an enchanting (about 4 hectares of) private land setting with a private lake (fishing, 51 carp of 9 kilo added 2020) and a private swimming pool.

Nature, peace, space, privacy and comfort. The mansion can accommodate up to 12 people.

From Paris the distance is almost 400 km. There is good air links to Limoges, Bordeaux and Bergerac. There is also an excellent Paris train connection in Limoges. Limoges Airport is about 40 km from Saint Moreil, where the A20 motorway passes.

From the main / entry hallway, you enter the dining room with a cozy seating area on the right, smart TV and large original fireplace with wood stove. The TV has all the channels Dutch, British, French, German, etc. and numerous sports and movie channels. Also, many radio stations are available via radio and television. On the other side of the entrance / hallway is the kitchen with a large round table, built-in cabinets and ancient lake views. Behind the dining room is a large open kitchen with all necessary appliances. There is a separate utility room with washer and dryer for the quality of the hotel and a large refrigerator and an extra freezer. The house has six bedrooms and 12 beds. Each of the three floor has a bathroom with bath or shower and toilet (1x bidet). In addition, on the first floor there is a shower and toilet separated. See also the pictures and video's.

Muli-generational family holiday
This is a great place for a multi-generation family holiday. The private grounds, lake and pool make it exceptional. We took inflatable kayaks and an inflatable body board and everyone from age 7 to 70 enjoyed them on the lake as well as the boat that is provided by the owner. The pool is lovely. There is plenty space in the grounds for games, exploration or relaxing. We all spent time in the evenings watching out for the ottars that lived on the island banks. We ate out on the terrace eating area every day. The house is good basic accommodation with reasonable kitchen and bathroom facilities. The bedrooms are fine and have character and views. The attic floor perhaps needs some attention. The larger of the two rooms is ideal for children and big enough for more than the two single beds found there. The other room with two double beds is a bit inflexible. The surrounding countryside is glorious with plenty of scope for walking and running. The nearby village is walkable, but unfortunately has no facilities, shop or cafe., which is a pity. The nearest towns of Saint Leonard de Noblat and Bourganeuf are full of character and good shops, bars and cafes, together with weekly markets. Lac de Vassiviere is easily reached and a good day out. We all enjoyed our stay and would go back again.

The Manor
What a beautiful location! The Manor is a fantastic choice for a large family holiday, equipped with everything you need. The kitchen has everything you need and more, with an extra fridge and freezer in the utility room. The living room is comfortable and has plenty of entertainment with multiple TV channels, internet and games console. There are plenty of beds and bathrooms to go around. We where met by Dominique and shown everything on arrival, the Manor was clean and tidy and it was nice to see him every more maintaining the pool. The highlights were definitely the pool, lake full of fish, games room and outdoor BBQs by the lake side! A holiday the family will not forget in a beautiful part of France, would definitely recommend!

Lovely large house with enormous gardens
Place is exactly how it looks in the photos. Lovely large house with enormous gardens giving the opportunity of being in a large group together or spreading out and having your own space. Kids loved exploring the grounds and looking for wildlife of which there is plenty. Main parts of the house are amazing as are some of the bedrooms however a couple could do with some attention hence the 8/10. Everything we needed was provided, loads of crockery so you don't have to constantly wash up, plenty of outside chairs and sun loungers, life jackets for when the kids went in the boat on the lake, PlayStation and games like chess even binoculars for bird watching. Location is beautiful and peaceful only noise was from my kids having fun in the pool which I didn't have to worry about because there was no one to disturb. I gave a 5/10 for the local amenities as there is nothing unless you drive for about 15 minuets. However once you do get in the car there are lovely villages to explore, restaurants, shops etc. and why would you want to leave the house anyway when it is so lovely ! The owner provided some useful information packs on the house and the area, the caretaker was also very friendly and helpful. We would definitely go back if we could and recommend it to others.
