Holiday house "Le Grand Domaine"

We had a great time here, the accommodation is very clean and modern, everything you need is here. Saint -Cast-Guildo is a beautiful place with excellent restaurant, shops, Cafe's. If it rains you can take a drive along the coast and visit some beautiful places. Ronald was the perfect host & if you had any problems all you had todo was WhatsApp him and he would sort it out. We will go back again in the future and do it all over again. Mercy Ronald.

Very friendly and helpful hosts, we felt very welcome. Communication was possible both in French and in English. In case of problems the neighbours could also help. Large spacious apartment in which we felt very comfortable. In addition a great terrace with seating furniture and hammock. Car and bicycles could be parked on the premises. In the high season there is also a supermarket nearby. From the apartment there are also beautiful hikes or small bike tours possible. Only weak point: A little far away from the centre and the Grand Plage, but the apartment is very quietly situated. We can recommend the apartment and the friendly hosts and would book here again at any time.

We have now been annual visitors to France since 2000 and I can honestly say that this is the best property we have rented to date. It is located in a quiet residential area of Saint Cast and not that you would know it but was less than 200 metres to a Super U supermarket and a cycle path - The property is spacious, very well equipped (well beyond what we required) and extremely light and airy. The outdoor terrace is particularly nice with its formal dining area, informal table and chairs and my favourite, the swinging easy chair. Not that we used it, but you can also have use of the extensive ground floor garden, barbecue equipment and produce from the herb garden. Roland Barbe, the genial french owner was on hand to meet us when we arrived and again to wish us a safe journey home. We have always said the world is a too big a place to return to somewhere that you have already visited, but this may just be a property we return to at some point in the future. Very highly recommended.
