Authentic and modern quality decoration, striking colors in contrast with two full bathrooms in black and white featuring elegant fixtures. The spacious kitchen offers semi-professional equipment, including many cookbooks. The Jas du Pontias was once a little farm on the edge of the mediaeval town. Today, we are part of a calm residential street in the heart of Nyons, a lively town with 7000 people. Downstairs on street level, you'll find a garage and a cellar with washing/drying facilities. One flight up is the large terrace, the kitchen/dining room with my cookbook collection and its battery of pots hung against glowing-beige walls. Beyond, you will find the vaulted lounge alias first bedroom with an open fireplace. Adjacent to the lounge with its plastered walls, an elegant black and white bathroom was created with a generous shower. There is also an independent wc on this level. Mostly authentic pieces of art, with a few reproductions, are scattered over the walls. On the next level up, you'll find the second bedroom, cozy and forest-green under the roof, with its en-suite bathroom, complete with quality gear : bath, bidet, sink and wc. Our street is a quiet cul-de-sac street. Our area is called la Drôme Provençale – the south of the Drôme Department and the north of Provence, located in the South-East of France. You will bathe in the delicious microclimate of Nyons, a small, picturesque and animated town at the foot of the Drôme Mountains. The house is cool in summer and cozy in winter. In the heart of town, you will stay right next to a good choice of restaurants and shops. Meanwhile, vast nature is to be found at walking distance. (There are detailed walking maps available to you.) In case of a rare rainy day, you can borrow our extended collection of board games and cards and for evenings an interesting collection of auteur films on dvd is at your disposal. (Please ask for the full list of things available at the house for your comfort. If necessary, you can give me a short shopping-list for your first night's meal.)
