It is also possible to ride in Verdille and take seasonal horse-drawn carriage rides at the Verdille ttelages. The village of Aigre is a five-minute drive away and has restaurants, a superb gift shop, a tobacco shop, a supermarket and a pharmacy. The market days are Thursday morning. If you want to rent bikes to ride Loop 33, it's also possible. There is also a body of water 15 minutes away in Les Gours. In Aigre, you will find the restaurants The Square and Bilboquet as well as the Tabac for a coffee or a drink. Aigre is also home to Cognac Gautier which is one of the oldest, most prestigious Cognac Maisons in France. Tours and tastings are available from the boutique.
