Le pelioou is a restored stone barn situated at 3000ft elevation on a south facing hill between forest and pastureland, enjoying a superb panoramic view of the high Pyrenean peaks as well as the Garbet river valley and the village of Erce below. It has just been classified 3 epis by 'les Gites de France'. The interior of the house has been renovated for maximum confort: a terrace and veranda have been added to the original building so that the view can be admired any time of day or season. Total peace is assured as there are no neighbors or noise other than the sounds of cow bells or mountain streams. Le Pelioou is situated in south of France, in the Pyrenees mountains and the department of Ariege. It is 120 km from international airports of Toulouse or Carcassonne and one and half hour drive passing the cities of Saint-Girons, Oust and Erce. From the village of Erce a 2 km unpaved passable road climb to the house through meadows and forest.
