Welcome to Black Perigord, at the foot of Domme, 10 km from Sarlat, in the heart of the Valley of Castles 5 ! (Altitude 230 meters). This region is named after the afforestation rate very high in the presence of holm oak, dense foliage, dark and persistent. The forests are rich in mushrooms and picking there as well as ceps chanterelles, morels or other mushrooms… And why not pick up the truffle of Périgord ! It is this environment that we offer you to discover during your stay or walk with our donkeys. A life project, built on the basis of a firm on a human scale, where each needs the other to live in harmony and thrive… During your stay, in addition to encounters with our guests, we are available to help you discover the garden of medicinal and aromatic plants, our teas, as well as some heirloom vegetables. Our donkeys are at your disposal to accompany you on many trails, they will joyfully the youngest and picnic on their backs. And if you wish, we can talk about our farming practices, the time shared a breakfast : Work in respect of our environment : wildlife and flora surrounding : planting and maintenance of hedgerows to birds, installing small pile of branches to shelter large hedgehogs and lizards greenhouse doors ajar for chilly of winter… Renovation with healthy materials : hemp, lime, clay, wood, plaster, straw… The organic garden diversified crops on small plots with rotations and tillage surface. Sowing of green manure and straw intake and rcw (rcw fragmented) to avoid drying of seedlings and water as possible. No chemical treatment plants : fertilization based nettle, horsetail, comfrey. Donkey manure and composted cow.
