The Upper Chevreuse Valley Regional Nature Park extends over 25,000 hectares in the southeast of the Yvelines département.
With its myriad waymarked footpaths, this area offers walkers a variety of forests, agricultural plateaux, lakes and rivers. Besides its natural and rural assets, the Park boasts a rich built heritage, with unmissable sites to see such as the châteaux of Breteuil, Dampierre and Chevreuse and the abbeys of Port-Royal-des-Champs and Vaux-de-Cernay.
The Maison du Parc situated in the Chevreuse fortified castle offers visitors a lot of tourist information about this area.
