At the foot of the Monédières massif in the middle of the Millevaches Regional Nature Park in Limousin, be sure to pay a visit to Treignac, a pretty medieval town with old houses located on the Way of St. James. Standing on the banks of the Vézère, this green holiday resort will cast a spell on you, not only with its historic heritage but also with its natural attractions which make it ideal for outdoor pursuits.
To start exploring Treignac, head to the banks of the Vézère, where you will find a beautiful view of the old 13th-century bridge, the Gothic Church of Our Lady of the Bans and the houses in the lower town! Your tour of this charming spot in Corrèze then continues in the upper town. So go up to the top of the old belvedere tower, you'll have a superb view over the slate roofs of the town from there!
The arts and popular traditions of Upper Vézère have their own museum, based in a 16th-century residence that used to belong to Marc Sangnier, the founder of the French youth hostel network Auberges de Jeunesse. Old regional furniture, as well as agricultural, craft and forester's tools, displayed on three floors, are among the memorabilia that tells visitors about how daily life used to be for the locals.

Dedicated to velocity and bodies in motion, this new suite of paintings and pages refers to the metaphysical sense of perpetual emotional and cerebral progression. Zephyr, symbol of the westerly wind, is in mind here ; its tender breath in the flicker of candlelight, its moments of strength like the breath of a horse galloping across the meadow. Herds of hooves, wheels and feet move through the picture planes as if thoughts were passing through the mind. Sometimes we stumble upon a daydreaming heel, sometimes we tiptoe through an enchanted garden, sometimes we encounter a set of wheels that hesitate to roll. - Opening Saturday June 7,6pm
