Surrounded by wheat and sunflower fields, this beautiful medieval fortified town in the Pays de Cocagne (Land of Plenty) possesses a charming square with a covered market hall surrounded by old timber-framed houses. The village of Saint-Félix-Lauragais, which was the seat of the first Cathar council in 1167, boasts a 14th-century collegiate church, a castle and a magnificent panoramic view of the Noire and Pyrenees mountains.

At Easter, the Cocagne festival puts on entertainment and local crafts related to the history of the Lauragais. A good atmosphere is guaranteed!

At the eastern end of the department and forty kilometers from Toulouse, the town of Saint-Félix stretches on a ridge overlooking the plain of Revel, the heart of Lauragais "Cockaigne".

A very active farming harmoniously expands its fields of wheat and sunflowers on the foothills scratched the surface of Southerly wind.

From a rich past, the village has inherited an exceptional historical heritage that people have preserved over the centuries, are witnesses of the ten monuments of the city including the iconic collegiate (XIV) overlooking a protected bastide the time by the castle with medieval origins.

In the plain at the foot of the village winds the Canal du Midi feeding trough UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the heart of the village, a hall hosts festivities and markets for local producers.

Western winds and cereals, five mills still testify outside the village of milling activity that has supplanted the rich period of pastel Lauragais (XV-XVI), three of the "Butte des Trois Moulins" which marks origin of the village.

Native son, the composer Déodat Séverac (1872-1921) prints its footprint in Saint-Félix by the annual festival that bears his name, and Easter, the feast of Cocagne together in a festive atmosphere the locals.
