In the heart of the green, peaceful Martinique countryside, around fifteen kilometres from the town of Le Vauclin, Saint-Esprit is a quiet little village where you can admire a beautiful Baroque-inspired church that's a listed historic monument.

However, the village of Saint-Esprit is also known for its Museum of Arts and Popular Traditions. Created in 1987 by the "Les Coulisses" association, the aim of this establishment is to raise visitors' awareness of Martinique's rich cultural heritage. The museum thus invites you to learn about the history of the island and Saint-Esprit, the traditional furniture of the elegant period houses, and peasant life in bygone days.
