Situated between the Douarnenez bay and Brest's natural harbour, the Crozon peninsula and its seabeds are protected by the Armorique Regional Nature Park. On the peninsula, vegetation mainly consists of moors and heaths, but also pine forests at certain places.
Famous for its jagged coastline and its numerous steep cliffs, the Crozon peninsula has a number of very interesting sites like:
- The Penhir headland and its "Heaps of Peas", a famous alignment of three rocks;
- The Espagnols headland where walkers will find a beautiful panoramic view of Brest's natural harbour;
- The Dinan headland possessing numerous viewpoints of the surroundings, specifically Chèvre cape and Raz headland to the left, and Penhir headland to the right;
- The Chèvre cape, which boasts numerous footpaths running alongside high cliffs.
These stunning places are great for invigorating walks, taking photos and recharging your batteries.
