Lined with superb fine sand beaches, the Opal Coast extends from Bray-Dunes near the Belgian border, to Berck-sur-Mer in the Pas-de-Calais.

In the Pas-de-Calais département, from Berck-sur-Mer to Calais, the Opal Coast offers 120 kilometres of sandy beaches, dunes with beachgrass, cliffs and wild coasts dotted with seaside resorts, such as Le Touquet-Paris-Plage, Wimereux, Wissant, Berck-sur-Mer, and Hardelot-Plage. Certain resorts, like Wimereux and Le Touquet-Paris-Plage, are lovely to walk around with their magnificent Anglo-Norman villas. Offering relaxation and a change of scenery, the Opal Coast is also great for recreational sports like golf, sand-yachting, cycling and hiking. The green meadows and sweet-smelling pine forests along the coast are ideal for peaceful walks. On the beaches of the Opal Coast with their pretty colourful beach huts, don't miss the lively show of kites and sand yachts speeding along.

In the Nord département, the charming seaside resorts of Bray-Dunes and Malo-les-Bains will delight fans of relaxation and water-based leisure activities. Sporty types also have lots on offer, including kitesurfing, speed sailing, and sand yachting.
