Situated on the banks of the Cher, Montrichard is one of Loir-et-Cher's medieval towns. It is thought to date back to the 11th century and has a historical heritage represented by fortifications, old brick and half-timbered houses, and a square keep that dominates the town. By the way, don't hesitate to go up to the top, where the view of the houses and the Cher Valley is splendid! The 12th-century keep also has two museums, one about archaeology and one on local history and traditions.

If you come to Montrichard in summer, you will have the opportunity to enjoy medieval shows about the history of the town.
