Located on the south-east coast of Martinique, at Cape Chevalier on the famous Capes Trail, the beach at Michel Cove is often considered one of the most beautiful on the whole island. A long expanse of white sand in the municipality of Sainte-Anne, Michel Cove is lined with coconut palms and sea grape bushes that provide shaded spots for a picnic. Protected by a coral reef, the beach boasts a magnificent turquoise lagoon, whose calm, crystal-clear water is ideal for swimming with children.
Very popular with board sports fans, Michel Cove is known as one of the best kitesurfing spots in Martinique. Other water sports such as sea kayak and windsurfing are also available.
A word of warning, if you're looking for peace and quiet, it's best to come on a weekday, because at weekends this little piece of paradise is soon busy with sunbathing tourists and locals!
