Located in Bas du Fort marina, in the municipality of Le Gosier, the Guadeloupe aquarium, devoted to the underwater treasures of the Caribbean, has nearly 50 coral species and around 80 fish species, from blacktip sharks to green morays, through rays and barracudas. The complex extends over thirty pools, making it the largest aquarium in the Antilles!
This tourist site, one of the most visited in Guadeloupe, also offers boat trips to discover Guadeloupe's marine environment. Indeed, you can go on underwater excursions with flippers, mask and snorkel to explore the wonderful seabed of the Grand Cul-de-Sac Marin, or the Saintes and Marie-Galante after a short catamaran cruise.
The site is committed to the preservation of aquatic wildlife and flora, and is a partner of the School of the Sea (École de la Mer), a centre for education and awareness about the marine world, regularly offering entertainment and educational activities.
