Ranked among the most beautiful villages in France, La Garde-Adhémar is located twenty kilometers from Montelimar, in Drôme department. This small town of just over 1,100 inhabitants have a story related to the family of Adhemar who bequeathed his name to it.

Romanesque building, the Saint-Michel church La Garde-Adhémar has a typical architectural style of Tricastin. Old chapel in the eleventh century, it became parish church in the course of the twelfth century. Restored in the mid-nineteenth century, it was classified as an historic monument. Inside, you can admire an altar dedicated to nymphs goddesses, installed at the church entrance. He was found in the early twentieth century on the site of the Valley of the Nymphs.

Green, Nymphs Val site is the place of La Garde-Adhémar. Installed between limestone hills, it has a high concentration of meadows and other ancient oaks. In Gallo-Roman times, the site was dedicated, according to historians, the worship of goddesses nymphs installed near the springs. It is in this place that you can admire the priory of the Valley of the Nymphs, beautiful art Provençal Romanesque monument. It is a chapel of the twelfth century classified as an historic monument and restored in the early 1990s.

The Garden of Herbs can admire many medicinal plants in a unique setting.
