The territory of Belfort has earned the "Department in Bloom" label and is full of idyllic villages. 70% of the municipalities have entered the Departmental Towns and Villages in Bloom Competition, and around forty of them have been awarded the label. Winners include the towns and villages of Belfort and Rougegoutte, Argiésans, Bavilliers, Beaucourt, Delle, Étueffont, Lacollonge, Recouvrance, Valdoie, and many more. Individuals and volunteers work hard to make their local area stand out: their gardens, terraces and windows are taken into account along with public places when it comes to awarding the precious label.
To discover the Flower Route and the villages that have contributed to the department's flowery reputation, head to Lachapelle-sous-Rougemont. The itinerary ends in Château-Lambert, in the neighbouring department of Haute-Saône.
