From Cabourg to Honfleur, the string of charming seaside resorts that make up the Flower Coast stretches for around forty kilometres. In the 19th century, the fashion for sea bathing led to the expansion of beautiful houses with exceptional architecture. The Flower Coast is internationally renowned and tourists from all around the world flock there every year to make the most of the legendary cliffs and sandy beaches that are ideal for sunbathing.

Honfleur is one of the unmissable wonders of this highly prized destination. Its imposing, charming houses next to the old harbour, historic centre and churches have attracted many painters and photographers. Deauville is also not to be missed, with its endless beaches lined with beautiful villas and its legendary promenade and American film festival. Its twin, the neighbouring town of Trouville-sur-Mer, which remained a fishing village for a long time, is just as charming and has nothing to envy it!

In Houlgate, the many villas facing the sea make up a remarkable built heritage, which is why it is known as the pearl of the Flower Coast. Houlgate is where you can admire the beginning of the Vaches Noires cliffs, and the rocks at their feet covered in dark seaweed, stretching all the way to Villers-sur-Mer. The latter is a peaceful little resort that is well worth a stop to enjoy the cliffs, the Blonville-Villers marsh and the verdant countryside. Cabourg, Marcel Proust's favourite holiday destination, is famous for its music festival Cabourg Mon Amour, beautiful central beach, Belle Époque villas, gardens and a big square, the Place du Grand Hôtel.

If you travel along the Corniche Normande, between Villerville and Trouville-sur-Mer, you can enjoy some great viewpoints over the seaside and the Seine estuary. The Flower Coast also has plenty to keep horse-lovers happy, with the racecourses in Cabourg and Deauville being among the most best-known in France.
