Situated on the municipality of Curbigny, the Château de Drée, an elegant building of the 17th and 18th centuries, is home to a rich collection of furniture and objets d'art of the 18th century. The interior comprises the Rocaille Salon, Louis XVI Salon, bedrooms, dining room, kitchen, chapel and outbuildings, as well as a wonderful 10-hectare park with formal gardens, rose garden and centuries-old trees.

The Château de Drée

Built from the 1650s by François de Bonne de Créquy, 3rd Duke of Lesdiguières and Governor of Dauphiné, on the site of the stronghold of La Bazolle, the Château de Drée was sold to Etienne Comte de Drée in 1748, which began the interior decoration inspired by Versailles.

In 1995, the current owner, Mr. Ghislain Prouvost, bought the house, which undertook major restorations in order to preserve this incredible heritage. The castle having been emptied of its furniture, the rooms were rearranged in the style of the 18th century. The restorations were completed by the creation of a 10-hectare French-style park by the landscape designer Moncorgé, giving this princely residence its former glory.
