An excellent way of exploring the natural and built treasures of the Lot-et-Garonne is along the Canal de Garonne greenway (voie verte), which stretches 87 km from Saint-Jean-de-Thurac to Meilhan-sur-Garonne. Shaded by centuries-old plane trees, the canal-side greenway is ideally suited to cycling, roller-skating and walking. The route is dotted with pleasant stopping places like Agen, Sérignac-sur-Garonne, Buzet-sur-Baïse village and vineyard, and Le Mas-d'Agenais.
