In the communes of Aureilhan and Mimizan, in the heart of the Landes forest, Lake Aureilhan covers 332 hectares. Lake Aureilhan

The Aureilhan-Mimizan lake, which covers an area of ​​340 hectares, is spread over four communes, Mimizan, Aureilhan, Saint-Paul-en-Born and Sainte-Eulalie-en-Born.

Swimming on the shore of Aureilhan and fishing (carp, pike, eel, pikeperch) are possible. Possibility to moor a small boat at the lake, on the west bank, in Mimizan, or on the south shore at the port of Aureilhan.

It is also a favorite place for walking, especially on the south and west bank, especially with the flowery walk.
