Depart from the hamlet of Grainville, 1.2 km southwest of Fresville.
When leaving Grainville, take the D214 westwards to the stele, the site where American soldiers died. Turn left into the alley of willows, after a kilometre, you will arrive on a tarmac road. Continue towards the town, and either turn left on to the D269, or take the passage opposite and follow it for 50 m into the church enclosure and join the D269 through the church gate. Be sure to admire Saint-Sulpice Chapel and Saint-Martin Church on the way. Return to Grainville along the D269, and slightly further down, opposite the mansions of Tamerville and Hesnay. When you reach the D214, turn left to return to the start of the walk.
