Superb, the part along the Verdon takes the route of the old canal on the left bank, cool, then return by the plateau. Site home bats (25% of the population of France), raptors, toads. Typical local flora: boxwood, juniper... Hike of about 10 km (about 4 hours), of medium difficulty with a cumulative altitude gain of 450 meters (a steep climb and stony if you take the shortcut).

Access

At Quinson, you can park after the bridge of the D11 / D13, facing the lake. The path is taken to the right, leaving Quinson. It starts with large, high steps carved into the stone.

Itinerary

Newly rehabilitated, the path is well signposted and now follows the Verdon on a long stretch formerly closed for safety: about 4 km. Walking along the Verdon in the shade, in the canyon, in full heat, is a delight! Then you will begin the ascent to the plateau to reach the Sainte-Maxime Chapel and join the GR 99 towards Quinson. This stretch is unwooded. Be careful in case of strong heat! When the descent begins, take the paths on your left, neglecting the departures on the right. Back on the D13.
