From Nice, take the N202 to "Pont de Gueydan", then the D2202 towards Barcelonnette via the Cayolle Pass.
From the car park at the top of Cayolle Pass, follow signpost 300 towards "Pas du Lausson" then signposts 301, 294, 296 to the summit of Lausson Pass. Continue along the ridge towards Garrets Lake, then to the Petite Cayolle Pass (signpost 297). Follow the long descent back down to the car park.
