The walk starts at the citadel, outside the Tourist Office.
Turn left at the entrance to the Citadel.
Leave the town via the postern and descend along the path on the right to Les Glacis. Continue to La Madeleine.
Turn right towards La Grenouillère. Cross the bridge over the Canche and follow the river upstream. Cross the railway line to Rue Saint-Gengoult and cross over the street. Take Allée du Franc Marais, which follows the Lower Canche and, before the outlet sluice on the left, veer left to the River Canche. Follow the main road on the left for 400 m and turn right to the Canche.
Turn right and pass below a road bridge. Take the bridge over the Canche and cross the railway line immediately on the left. Make your way to the Station and take the large staircase.
Cross the D349 and take a path opposite (on the left of the old Hôtel Bellevue). Before Rue de la Tour de Justice, turn right on to Avenue des Garennes and continue to Rue du Général Leclerc. Cross the street and walk around the large residence on the left. Follow Sentier des Glacis on the right and return to the postern where you started.
