Itinerary

Episcopal conté, the Cambrésis had a noble assembly of twelve peers, including the Lord of Cantaing (feudal castle in the village center). Cantigneul says little Cantaing with its mill on the Scheldt, the canal of Saint-Quentin inaugurated in 1810 by Napoleon I and the Bois de la Folie with its castles. Cantaing was also a land of passage, encounters and battles.
